Supervizija u psihoterapiji

Poslednjih godina se supervizija sve više posmatra kao posebna disciplina, različita od psihoterapije i, istovremeno, blisko povezana sa njom. Da bi se u potpunosti shvatio značaj supervizije neophodno je razumeti kontekst u kojem se odvija i prirodu psihoterapije koju supervizija podržava. Mnoge definicije supervizijskog procesa naglašavaju različite aspekte supervizije u odnosu na teorijski okvir psihoterapijskog pravca kojem autori pripadaju. Neke akcenat stavljaju na značaj supervizijskog saveza, neke na edukativne ili nastavne ciljeve, neke na dobrobit klijenta, na profesionalno usavršavanje supervizanata ili ideju da je supervizija oblik metaterapije... Odnos supervizije i terapije je složen i u dobroj meri zavisi od stadijuma razvoja usvojenosti uloge psihoterapeuta. Istraživanje kojim se utvrduje da li postoji povezanost usvojenosti uloge psihoterapeuta, definisane kroz četiri stadijuma razvoja psihoterapijske uloge i fokusa supervizije je navedeno kao primer značaja provere teorijskih pretpostavki i problema koji se pojavljuju u istraživanjima supervizije.
