EVRO – DVADESET GODINA KASNIJE

Prvog januara 2022. godine jedinstvena valuta Evropske unije – evro
obeležila je dvadeset godina svog postojanja. Od Rimskog carstva u svetu
nije postojala jedinstvena valuta i odluka da se u okviru Evropske unije
pređe na jedinstvenu valutu, kao ni davanje novoj valuti – evru funkcije
zakonskog sredstva plaćanja na području zemalja koje su stekle uslove za
ulazak u monetarnu uniju. Ova inicijativa je predstavljala hazardni
projekat, koji neki eksperti nazivaju eksperimentom, kojem se pristupilo u
odsustvu teorijskih osnova za stvaranje jedinstvenog valutnog područja i uz
veliku skepsu stručnjaka u svetu.
